This Mission is all about those shots with the sun behind the aircraft. Think glowing canopies, silver outlines, golden haze, or full silhouettes. Backlighting can turn even the simplest subject into something dramatic! ⚡️ Mission Tips: 🎯 Expose for the highlights to keep detail in the glow. Let the shadows go dark if needed. 💪 Try positioning yourself low so the sun catches the outline of the aircraft. 🖌 In editing, lift clarity or dehaze slightly to bring out rim light and haze. 🗣 Share the story — was it golden hour, an airshow silhouette, or just the perfect angle at the right time? 💡 Did You Know? Backlighting often creates a “rim light” effect where the edges of the subject glow against the background. It adds depth and atmosphere and is often a favourite technique in cinematic photography… although a little more challenging for us aviation photographers!
